Pavan Muzumdar has served on the Reconsider Advisory Board during start-up and will now be joining the firm as an Investment Advisor pending State registration. Pavan brings with him experience as the managing director of Pieris Capital, LLC, and founder and managing director of PCS Technologies, LLC.
In 2011, Pavan established PCS Technologies, LLC, a company whose purpose is to help leadership teams achieve their goals and foster excellence. In 2012, PCS developed and began testing software encompassing EOS® (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
Pavan’s particular area of focus is private and public equity investments. Using a fundamentals-based approach he has developed proprietary tools that account for both qualitative and quantitative factors in analysis.
From 2009 to 2011 Pavan was the first entrepreneur in residence at Lawrence Technological University where he helped foster an entrepreneurial mindset in students and faculty alike. During his tenure in this capacity Pavan helped launch the Industry Sponsored Project Laboratory and helped create partnerships between Lawrence Tech and external entities to commercialize student and faculty projects and technologies.
In his nearly 14 years of experience as CEO of MV Software Company and COO of Detroit Hitch Company and JRE Tires, he has directed operations in IT and wholesale/retail distribution and handled other matters including business development, capital raising, divestitures, litigation management, and turnarounds.
Earlier, Pavan was Associate Director with Cambridge Technology Partners, where he served as a senior consultant to Fortune 500 clients in the IT services, securities back-office processing, telecommunications, manufacturing, and healthcare industries.
He is currently active as either a founding member or financial advisor to companies in the financial services, healthcare, information technology, and social media realms.
He has volunteered as a coach in the GLEQ Business Plan competition since 2006 and serves on the global advisory board of the MIT Enterprise Forum, a global community of technology entrepreneurs. He is also a mentor for the University of Michigan Student Incubator program.
Pavan holds master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Bombay. He is also a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute.
